Holy Mother of God Church in Areni

On the very  top of mountain and on the left bank of Arpa river was built Holy Mother of God church. It was designed by the architect, sculptor and miniaturist Momik. The facts on the walls argues, that the church was built in 1321. The architecture style of the church is unique with its narrow and upward buildings. It makes us to look up everytime.
