Smbataberd

Smbataberd fortress sits on a narrow mountain ridge between Yeghegis and Artabuynk villages. The fortress, that includes two citadels, was likely constructed between the 9th and 11th centuries AD. Fortress have three entrances. The road leading to Smbataberd is narrow and steep, so hiking is the best option to get to the top, observing perfect view of landscape.
